AlphaVM Emulator OpenVMS & Tru64 Emulator

This emulator is a professional version of the AlphaVM line of products from EMUVM. It is the main commercial product. It is designed to replace wide range of Alpha systems in various environments. The product adheres to high availability and performance requirements. All AlphaVM software packages purchased come with a 4 core 32GB Dual Power 1U Server. This is included in the pricing.

Here are its key features:

AlphaVM is designed to replace a large range of Alpha systems with various number of CPUs, memory sizes, and peripheral options.
AlphaVM supports the following guest operating systems: OpenVMS and Tru64/Digital Unix. Linux boots as well, but we do not support it.
AlphaVM performance depends on the host system. On a fast modern system the performance is of an EV6 or EV7 class Alpha. See the benchmark page for details.
Normally modern servers consume less energy than Alpha systems. Therefore, using AlphaVM lowers your energy bill. However, AlphaVM goes even further in this direction. AlphaVM supports detection of the guest OS idle state. When the guest OS is idle, the emulator is able to release the host CPU for energy saving.

Includes the Ultra fast AlphaVM J3 compiler for extremely fast emulation of Alphaservers and workstations from OpenVMS 6.2 to the latest versions from VSI.
Price includes License and software. USB "Dongle" . Software download requires activated account which will be created upon purchase of your product.
Additional CPUs & memory available in 1GB increments. Upgrades to the application are available to include 24/7 support.

ALL LICENSES ARE PERPETUAL. You are NOT required to purchase support but it is strongly suggested that you do to allow you to download updates, new releases and fixes.

Note that your choice should be based on how many actual CPUs and memory you have. For example, if you have an ES45 with 2 cpus and 8GB you should order the N2X option.
If you think you will want more cpus in the future we may be able to offer a lower cost upgrade path.

N1X Emulates a DS10 or DS15 with 1 CPU and up to 4 GB memory
N2X Emulates a DS20 or DS25 with up to 2 CPUs and up to 16GB memory
N4X Emulates an ES40 or ES45 with up to 4 CPUS and up to 32GB memory
