The change from an "A" version to a "B" version was implemented to make an obvious distinction between newer parts that were produced in full compliance with
European Union RoHS 2.04 requirements and older non-compliant parts that may still be in HP's spare parts inventory.
This change ensures without question products shipped worldwide after January 1, 2013 are in compliance with the RoHS 2.04 requirements.
