The 3X-DE602-BA provides two CAT 5 UTP, 10/100 ports, along with an optional daughter-card expansion capability.
This optional expansion capability includes the addition of a single-port MMF daughter card (3X-DE602-FA) for a total of three Ethernet ports in a single PCI slot on an Alpha.
- Provides a 32/64-bit PCI Universal Connector to work in either 32- or 64-bit PCI bus slots
- Operates at 33 or 66 Mhz <dependent on PCI slot capabilities>
- Full-duplex support allows the ability to transmit and receive data simultaneously at rates up to 20 Mbps for Ethernet and up to 200 Mbps for Fast Ethernet
- Uses bus-mastering technology to maximize throughput and optimize host system utilization
- Fail-Over to a second Fast Ethernet, or other LAN technology, is provided by NETrain under Tru64 UNIX Clusters
- Compliant with the 2.2 PCI specification, it automatically configures its I/O address and interrupts (IRQ) settings for easy installation
- Senses for 10 or 100 Mbps, and half- or full-duplex, and automatically configures to the highest common network connection speed between the NIC and another NIC, or hub, or switch port. (The 3X-DE602-FA is 100 Mbps only.)
- Support for IEEE 802.3u Auto-Negotiation
- Cable support for Cat. 3, 4, 5 UTP for 10 Mbps and Cat. 5 UTP for 100 Mbps
- Single RJ-45 connector for each port
- LEDs indicate link, speed, and network activity
