Note to OpenVMS Users:
Do not use the Emulex version AH402A (which is for HP-UX) - The AH400A and AH401a are the only 8Gbit cards approved for the HP Integrity Series running OpenVMS
If you don't need the speed, then try the AD299A - 4Gbit version of this card.

HP-UX Installation Guide  in PDF format - Click here

Note: Some Online vendors are selling a version of this card that is not corectly labelled with a 6 digit AXXXXA, but by another HP 6-3 part number.
This card, though physically identical, may contain a different version of firmware and PCI-ID which will not allow an HP Integrity HP-UX server to "claim" the device.
They WILL function in a Microsoft/Proliant Server and some versions of Linux. These will appear as "Fibere channel NVRAM Disabled / BIOS not enabled in an HP Integrity
These same issues apply to several Fiberchannel and Network cards, where HP has adopted & adapted their technology across multiple platforms.
