The HP rx1600 server utilizes the zx1 chipset and supports up to two Intel Itanium 2 1GHz processors with a maximum memory capacity of 16GB. The 1U rackmount form factor server packs some high performance for its size, enabling it to handle high density computing for demanding technical and enterprise applications.

The rx1600 supports a variety of operating systems giving data centers the flexibilty to adapt to new applications and upgrades. The supported OS include: HP-UX, Linux and OpenVMS.
